One Voice Mixed Chorus is a large SATB queer community chorus of approximately 120 singers. The chorus performs major concert programs each season, presents narrative and interdisciplinary programming, and shares music that reflects the mission, values, and lived experiences of the One Voice community.

Rehearsals are designed as both learning and refining spaces, supported through scores, rehearsal tracks, sectionals, and other resources that honor a variety of learning styles.

Singers in One Voice participate in major concerts, community engagement events, donor events, educational programs, collaborations, touring opportunities, and advocacy-based performances. The ensemble offers large chorus musical experiences as well as opportunities for solos, small groups, spoken word, and other creative contributions.

OVation is a professional-caliber SATB chamber ensemble of approximately 20–25 singers operating under the One Voice umbrella. The ensemble provides queer and BIPOC singers with an artistic home for advanced musical collaboration, creating opportunities for growth, representation, and performance within a community that reflects, affirms, and values the fullness of their lived experiences.

OVation may be a strong fit for singers seeking a professional-caliber chamber ensemble experience with heightened artistic expectations, musical independence, and leadership opportunities.

The choral field continues to offer limited professional opportunities for queer singers, and even fewer for artists who hold multiple marginalized identities. OVation creates space for advanced musical work in an environment where artistic excellence and personal authenticity are not competing values, but mutually reinforcing parts of the artistic process. OVation performs chamber concerts, donor events, media appearances, outreach engagements, collaborations, touring opportunities, and ambassador performances. The ensemble may also be hired for local community events and special performances.

Because of its size and artistic focus, OVation requires a high level of musical independence, preparation, flexibility, and professionalism.

Singers are expected to learn music independently, contribute confidently in a small ensemble setting, and bring strong communication, reliability, and individual leadership to the process.

One Voice welcomes singers of all musical backgrounds.

Auditions take place in two steps. Prospective singers first submit digital materials, followed by an in-person audition for selected applicants.

OVation seeks highly skilled singers with strong, collaborative musicianship.

Auditions consist of a single in-person audition that includes prepared excerpts, a solo selection, and a brief range and musicianship assessment.
