A New Verse for One Voice

Greetings One Voice Community!

To those of you that I haven’t met - my name is Jerome (he/him) and I am honored to introduce myself as your new Executive Director! This is an impactful time for our organization, and I am grateful to our Board of Directors for trusting me to guide us into the next chapter of One Voice History. And candidly – as a pragmatic change maker, chronic do-gooder, gay nerd, and baritone - I’m also excited! Our shared mission is to build community and create social change through song, and it’s exciting to be a part of an organization that works to meet people’s deep, fundamental needs. We truly do need more community. We definitely need to see some change. I truly believe that One Voice is prepared to more than just meet our mission in this moment; we are prepared to thrive. We just need your support to make that happen.

Here’s our plan: One Voice has a rich history of meaningful activism, our artistry and efforts create expertly produced concerts, and – as individual singers, alumni, 5th section members, volunteers, donors, and audience members - we are a powerful and welcoming community. So in this moment when the national political majority is actively working against our interests and – for many of us – our very existence, let’s be powerful.

  • Over the coming year our community will come together like never before. We will engage with each other and the broader community more frequently for both social and solidarity-focused events.

  • We will draw from our history of successful activism and programming. We’ll repeat what bears repeating, invigorate programs and events that would benefit from innovation, and invent new ways to defend our right to exist and thrive.

  • Through our concerts we will advocate for ourselves and inspire others to do the same. Our upcoming concert Protest Lines is an exceptional example of how One Voice can flex artistic muscles while providing tools for more effective protests.

And with your support we’ll do even more. Lots more. I’m excited to work together with all of you as we advance our mission to build community and create social change!

Please reach out to me directly by phone or email to set up time to converse and donate. Or you can donate now by filling out the form on this page.

Yours in excitement and solidarity,
